CVE CVE-2023-47516
CVSS Medium (6.1)
Publicly Published November 7, 2023
Last Updated January 22, 2024
Researcher LEE SE HYOUNG
Description

The Category Post List Widget plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 2.0. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the get_cplw_settings function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to change the plugin's settings, including injecting XSS, via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
