Cookie Notice & Compliance for GDPR / CCPA <= 2.1.1 - Authenticated (Admin+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting

Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')
CVE CVE-2021-24569
CVSS Medium (4.8)
Publicly Published August 30, 2021
Last Updated January 22, 2024
Researcher Asif Nawaz Minhas
Description

The WP GDPR plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the Button Text setting in versions up to, and including, 2.1.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for Admin+ attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This only affects multi-site installations or installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled.
