gSlideShow <= 0.1 - Cross-Site Request Forgery

Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)
CVE CVE-2014-9391
CVSS High (8.8)
Publicly Published December 18, 2014
Last Updated January 22, 2024
Researcher Manideep K
Description

The gSlideShow plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in versions up to, and including, 0.1. This is due to missing nonce validation in the gslideshow.php file. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts via the 'transistion_time', 'rss', and 'display_time' parameters through a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
