Jobmonster < 4.7.5 - Unauthenticated Arbitrary File Deletion

Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal')
CVE CVE-2024-37928
CVSS Critical (9.1)
Publicly Published July 9, 2024
Last Updated January 13, 2025
Researcher Dave Jong
Description

The Noo JobMonster theme for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in a function in all versions up to, and not including, 4.7.5. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php).
