CVE CVE-2023-0824
CVSS Medium (6.1)
Publicly Published April 12, 2023
Last Updated January 22, 2024
Researcher Shreya Pohekar
Description

The UserPlus plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the 'save' function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to modify plugin options, including injecting malicious JavaScript into the plugin options, via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link. This also makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute via this functionality.
