Wordfence < 3.3.7 - Reflected Cross-Site Scripting

Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')
CVE Not available
CVSS Medium (6.1)
Publicly Published October 19, 2012
Last Updated January 22, 2024
Researcher Eugene Dokukin
Description

The Wordfence plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the ‘email’ parameter in versions before 3.3.7 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
